The Evolution Of An Invention.
“You Can’t Control Ideas,
You Can Only Control What You Do With Them.”
Chris Coxon has spent a lifetime implementing his ideas, both as as an engineer and as an inventor, whether working as an Animatronic Engineer in the Film Industry, helping to design and trial a revolutionary boat propeller, or running a successful company that produces specialised products for the Fire And Gas industry. So, it was no surprise that after moving to Reno, NV, in 2022 and taking full advantage of the proximity to the ski resorts around Lake Tahoe to indulge his favorite pastime, Chris’s thoughts turned to ideas of snow-based inventions.
At the time, he was also helping his children learn to ski, consequently, he initially imagined a fun little gadget that would attach to the back of kids’ skis and spray a jet of snow behind them. This would not only delight the kids, but it would also stop other skiers from getting too close. However, as Chris started to develop and test the idea, first on his skis and later on his children’s skis, he realised the gadget had far more to offer than simply a mere ‘toy,’ even one with an inherent safety aspect.
Over the following summer, Chris worked on the concept of a revolutionary ‘tool’ that any beginner or intermediate skier could use to enhance their ski learning journey. He tirelessly worked to perfect the design throughout the 2022/23 ski season, and into 2023/24, making it completely user friendly, easy to attach, easy to remove and compatible with a wide range of skis.
